Mooring

Mooring

Always use the space on a mooring as economically as possible. Tempting though it is to leave gaps for privacy please don’t. If the navigation is wide enough and the mooring is full, or nearly so, please offer to breast up (moor alongside) other vessels. This applies especially to narrowboats but is by no means restricted to them.

If you need to run your engine or a generator please try to do so between 8am and 8pm and be particularly mindful if the mooring is near to houses. Mooring rights have been removed at some locations in the past because of complaints from householders about noise from moored boats. It is in all of our interests to be good neighbours.
